Clutch bleeding

Can someone throw some light on how one gets to bleed the clutch on my k1200rs 2004, as far as i can see the clutch is at the rear of the engine (following the clutch line feed) under or near the battery. Is there an easy way of doing this job as i am finding it hard to get into gear and have been advised to bleed the clutch and change the dot4 fluid ?

Clymer Manual

G'day mate.
I'll scan the relevant directions from the K1200RS Clymer manual and send to you.
Pages 179 - 182.
I'll PM you hopefully today.
Best wishes from Oz.

PDF File for you

There you go.

I just PDF scanned the Clymer chapter on the task, but the web site won't upload the file for some reason (only 4 pages!) If you have a personal e-mail and need the PDF file, then let me know and I'll send it that way to you.

Best wishes

Hey Swaggerman, its all in the HoW>flying brick>Maintenance> Brake Systems. The most in depth coverage of brake and clutch bleeding I have come across. I would not have attempted this without this information. Makes it a walk in the park. BTW, if bleeding brakes as well, there is only one line to bleed on the control circuit and thats the original charging nipple in photo 5. BMW have amended their programme and deleted the need to bleed F1, F2, F3, and R1,R2,R3. This information was provided by BMW. Naturally the front and rear wheel circuits need to be done. Make sure you buy dot 4 brake AND clutch fluid and not just brake fluid. Shell fortified synthetic brake and clutch fluid is well recommended.
Good luck,
Richard
