Smile i-pod set up

Never mind mounting speakers. You want to use in ear speakers, like the great Challenger C's from The Earplug Company. You don't need an amp; the output from the speakers is more than sufficient, as the speaker is very close to your ear drum.

If you can still find a Griffin Air Click, I've mounted one to the triple clamp. It's infrared,
so there are no wires between you and the bike. You pick your music, put the receiver on the i-pod, (wait, I forgot you probably don't have a 2nd generation 4GB unit!!).

Forget all that. But buy the Challenger C's; you can't beat the sound.

I, too, would say use ear plugs. I had custom molded units and a standard player unit, ipod, radio, whatever. Way better for your ears, and nobody around cares. Nothing to steal cause it was in my pocket with easy access. No muss, no fuss. I did go through several sets over a ten year period as the wires did eventually break, but still prefer them to trying to hear over wind noise, and the bass and overall sound quality is waaayy superior to what you will ever get with speakers, not to mention much more cost effective. Also far superior and better for your ears than helmet speakers, btdt have the hearing loss to prove it.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the info That is the way I was thinking of going but didn't know how the ear plugs would be if I didn't have on my helmet. I know I should use it all the time but there are those times I just don't .

Thanks
