HID not any better then stock?

Yesterday installed DDM hid low beam kit on my 03 k1200rs. Went for a ride last night and the hid was worst then stock. The light was brighter and whiter but I could not see any further up the road. Over 45 and I was out running the light. Do I need to readjust the light. The bulb only fits in the headlight housing one way because there is a slot in the housing and a tab on the bulb. Very disappointed! Whats WRONG! HELP!

Well that's the thing about low beam. It is designed to reach out only so far else it would blind oncoming traffic and create collisions. You can see just as far but brighter with the HID on low beam, right? OK. Mission accomplished. At least the only mission allowable by law.

True, but has he got the pillion adjuster set in the low angle position?

I see a lot further and a lot more on the opposite side of the road. The cutoff is very sharp, it has to be. If the beam alignment is correct (??) I don't think you can do much except a pair of HID auxiliaries and the main ( ) But you can't use them if there is oncoming.
