brake fluid change question 2002 k1200 rs

this new to me 2002 k1200 rs
i changed all the fluid except the brake fluid when i purchased this bike 2 weeks ago
my problem is that there is no clear reference (i have the Clymer manual) as to the proper procedure
i used to do it all the time on my r1100rt , but this bike with the integrated brakes is confusing.
and what is with this weird reservoir in the rear it appears to have different compartments
how do you handle that
normally i use a vacuum bleeder and just keep it flowing until it runs clear
a website with photos or concise tutorial would be a great help

You are right about the Clymer.....! You need 2 shop manuals to work on those bikes, and both have errors and misses in them.

The BMW manual has the ABS III, you can download that one for less than $10.00:

http://www.tradebit.com/filedetail.p...rcycle-service

But here is a link, should be one on this site too.

But a little warning here, after I did that on my bike and went for the test ride, the low fluid level warning came on.I had brake fluid with me just in case, topped it up, kept going and it came on again later, topped again, and everything has been fine for 10,000 Miles.Lots of brakes....! Same happened to someone else too....don't know but it may take some time until all the fluid equalizes in the system.

Top tool bar, Technical--> Hall of Wisdom --> Flying Brick --> Maintenance --> Brake Systems --> Bleeding Brakes

Same article as listed from the I-BMW site, written by the same guy. Proceedure works like a charm, just takes about 4-5 hours to do yourself.
