Knee pads

My '03 K1200RS' PO must have had something like sandpaper on the inside of his knees. At any rate, particularly on the right side, the knee wells or cutouts are looking a bit dull or scuffed. I'll try compounding out the area with fine (swirl remover) rubbing compound. After that, I'd sure like to find something to keep the paint from getting scuffed further. I looked at Pirates Lair's offering but it doesn't cover too much. Suggestions for alternatives?

Not all who wander are lost. Which still leaves room for more than a few lost wanderers...

After a few years, my Roadcrafter suit eventually caused very fine swirls, making the paint look dull. I added the CSS pads (same ones at that Wunderlich link) and they worked great. Bike looks better too. I only installed the sides, not the center piece.

Since I already have a tank bag, the tank protect is pretty much "surplus to requirements". But the rest of the kit is spot on.

Dave, I hope Wunderlich sends you your bird dog fee for my order to them.
