rear brake rotor

K1200GT. So let me know? Do I have to find a complete rear brake rotor assy. or can you change out just the rotor???

If you order from BMW then you have to order the whole assembly together with the ABS ring. EBC makes just a replacement rotor that is half the price, but for some reason the replacement rotor I got from EBC was 4.63mm and service limit in the BMW manual is 4.5 If I'd have to do it again, I'd send the EBC one back and pay the price for the correct part... anyway, if you want to try going EBC route here is my post about it

Good post MIK, very informative. I put EBC "floating Wave" rotors on my Kaw and regretted it too. Much time and trouble getting the correct rotors and they have never felt as good as the OEMs.

Checkout Motobins in UK.

They carry quite a lot of non-oem parts in their catalog which are bought by UK Beemer riders and have a good reputation.

Also try these people:

I bought a pair of 'new into the country' Italian made front rotors and have been very pleased with them.
