shocks

Are the RS and GT shocks the same? Will the 2000RS shocks change out with a 2004GT?
Thanks == Bobby

From 2002 on, the shocks for RS and GT are the same. Starting with the 2002 models, the rear shock has a remote preload. But even for earlier bikes, I am pretty sure the shock mounting points are the same.

Bottom line is if you put a 2004 (GT or RS) shock on a 2000 RS, you will have to find a place for the remote preload. Or if you use a shock from a 2000 RS for a 2004 GT, you won't have the remote preload the bike came with.

I was really more interested in making sure the front shock is the same. Does the 2000 rear have adjustments that could still be gotton to when on an 04?
Thanks again == Bobby

Damn beemers will spoil you. Just put my Turbo 1200 REX back together and it will out pull a CBR1000RR up to 150 then I start running out of gear. It is fun and not uncomfortable to ride but I enjoy the beemer more so the REX sits on the lift all the time and the beemer sees road.

Don't think there's any difference in front shocks from origninal K12RS through the most recent RS/GT models.

Ajustments for 2000 model rear shock should be still accessible if installed on a later model.
