Newbie in Ontario

Hi all. Picked up my K1200RS (Arctic Silver/Blue) last Saturday and have put close to 1000kms on her since. 2000 with 35,000kms (21,000mi), bought from same dealer which sold it in 2000 - all dealer service/maintenance records were provided to me before purchase.

What a great bike (I don't really have to tell you all that). I'm loving it!

Have been riding since 1975 and doing much of my own maintenance on other bikes all that time, but this is my first BMW/K-Bike. Hopefully as I learn more about the bike I can provide feedback to other members on maintenance/general inquires.

Researching the K-Bikes on this forum has helped a lot already. Looking forward to many years of being a member.

Good Riding to you all - looks to be a great start to the season!

By the by, do get the Clymer service manual. Some days the Internet

doesn't

work

so well.

Not all who wander are lost. Which still leaves room for more than a few lost wanderers...

new Ontario K12RS owner

Hey ChesMan,

Not too far away here either. I'm in Oakville, always looking for an excuse to ride north.

Let me know when you're free. I can head up your where the roads are less crowded.
