Thumbs up Seat issue

I'm a K bike newbie- just bought a '99 K1200 RS in Dakar yellow. It is in phenomenally pristine condition with only 12,000 miles and meticulously cared for and BMW serviced.

I took off the seat for the first time and put it back on, and now cannot remove it. I turned the key counter-clockwise to release the lock mechanism, but can't seem to get the seat to come off. Any suggestions on how to deal with this?

Also, are there any other companies making the carbon fiber instrumentation cluster kit? I know that Ztechnik used to make one that was sold on Pirates Lair, but unfortunately it has been discontinued.

I have an 04 and if your seat is the same as mine,it is a bit of a typical BMW 3 handed trick. You must keep the key turned to unlock while simultaneously pushing the seat forward and down.Usually a smart slap in that direction frees mine.
