I have both RS and GT seats. RS is great for the twisties. You feel more planted in the cockpit. It works fine for short to medium days (up to 300 miles) I use the GT for longer rides and in the winter (it's heated). There are two GT seats. the Lower and Comfort (higher). Mine is the comfort and has a small hump between rider and pillion so the pillion doesn't slide forward. The comfort is a better buy for the pillion.
After thought: Putting an RS on a GT is not problem. Putting a GT on an RS, not so easy. It's the heated part of that brings trouble when fitting to an RS. The RS is not wired for it. You have to be handy with electronics to get the heated option on an RS.
