New K1200RS, thanks for the info.

Finally pulled the trigger and bought a 02 K12RS (Blue) with 24,100 miles. Iím the third owner, the first did all the upgrades that Iíve been reading about in these threads (and more). Metal QDs on the fuel lines, Sargent seat, Wilbers suspension, RhineWest chip, Two Brothers exhaust, daytime running lights up front, billet aluminum fuel cap, carbon fiber tank protector, backrestÖ You get the idea. It seems nothing was done haphazardly; the bike was dyno tested after the performance items were added but I donít have the paper so the numbers I was given are just numbers
Anyway, I've been taking it easy, taking short trips every couple of days trying to a good feel for the bike. I havenít ridden in a while so Iím working my way slowly into this. Initial observations bear out everything you all have been saying: very heavy bike but smooth at speed. In general, this bike is a real joy to ride. Just want to shout out thanks to the people on this site, youĎve really helped me in this process.
