Cruise control quit working

Hello all...... 2003 k1200 gt ........wonderful bike ! Cruise control quit working...would anyone have any suggestions as to
where one may look for problem or is this a dealer job....as I would suspect.

I don't know '03 but mine has several ways to disengage.

Pull clutch,
front brakes
rear brakes
Throttle roll OFF
Set paddle
ignition switch
and master on/off

The Clymer manual for the K bikes has pretty good info on the cruise control for these bikes. Without it you're pretty much at the mercy of a dealer. Let us know what you find out. Might come in handy!

I wanna say that you could request the dealer just ID's the issue. Probably a 1 hour minimum.

"Quit working" as in never engages, right?

AFAIK there are three ways to disconnect the cruise control: tap the brakes, tap the clutch, and roll the throttle forward. OK, and turn off the ignition.

The throttle's probably not an issue (might be, but save it for last). Check the brake switches and the clutch switch. Clymer has the specs and the how-to.

Not all who wander are lost. Which still leaves room for more than a few lost wanderers...
