The K1200RS uses a dry clutch - not an expensive part, but oh baby the work involved. Looked like a motorcycle exploded in my shop when I did that repair. I did change to Dot 5 fluid in the new setup - 4 years on and no worries. The brake fluid in the stock system - that eventually leaks out thru the slave cyl - causes the clutch to get oiled up by ruining the aft seal on the engine. Dot 5 fluid will not do that, requiring only a new slave cyl, and not much work. Flush the system with alcohol & dry out with air before changing the fluid.
Do not use Dot 5 in the std brake system!
