2003 k1200 gt manual?

so just bought a pristine beauty with only 6 k on the clock last night....she's lovely. barely a scratch, damn near new....last svc at 3800 miles 2 years ago...going into the shop early next week for a checkup, bill of health, start the maintenance paper trail....

my question is this....the previous owner did NOT have the operator/maintenance manual....hell, i don't even know how to unlock/raise the seat....is there a source for the manuals? i've seen a link for freebies that covers from 2005 and newer and one sketchy looking paid site....is there somewhere i am missing?

anyways...looking forward to the ride and collective knowledge

Hi Rick. You can buy them from BMW for around US$23 eg
https://shop.maxbmw.com/fiche/Diagra...8&rnd=07242017

or just keep searching through the posts here or on I-bmw for a link to a downladble pdf... they are out there.

BTW, if you plan on doing any servicing yourself, get yourself a Clymers manual, covers the LT, GT & RS but well worth the small investment. Easy to find on fleabay
eg https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...200LT&_sacat=0

Pretty lucky to be close to a place like Max!
The "local" shops to me were given a few opportunities to work on my K12LT over the early years... and f'd it up several times... eventually I started teaching myself the basics with help of the various forums, Clymers etc so I didn't have to go to dealers except for some specialised parts.
Got to the point I could do most maintenance myself, so when I needed a commuter bike (smaller than the LT) I bought an '04 built K12GT... pretty much identical to yours, knowing that I should be able to do the maintenance myself.
Even if you start with small things like changing brake pads, swapping out plastic fuel Quick Disconnects for metal ones, and such... you'll soon get confident and wind up saving a bucket of cash that you can spend on tools instead of giving it to a dealer. No-one will care as much as you do when servicing your own bike!

Enjoy!

Garage
Go ahead and pick up a factory repair CD as well. You can find them all over eBay for cheap. It's got everything you'd need that isn't in the Owners Manual. As a matter of fact, it's way more valuable then the Owners book for maintenance and repairs. The later is more for how to clean the piss off the seat after that green Peterbuilt dump truck turns left in front of you. %^D
