Remove Handle bar cap/lid

Hi team,
Trying to remove the cap on top of the handle bar on 02 model. I tried jack it up with sharp tip screw driver but not a single movement but nearly chip the lid so I stopped b4 I damage the cap/lid. Is there a screw behind it or how can I remove it. Any tips or tricks are appreciated.. See attached photo.

Glued on.Strip of sticky on both sides stuff around the circumference.

Lift a little and inject a little solvent in there.Should come out.

Why are you removing it? I ran an 02 K12RS for 133K miles and never removed it.

handlebar cap

Other than the question of why do you want to remove it, try using a sharp thin knife blade going around the circumference.
