Bmw k1200rs 2003 clutch slip?

Hi all,
Very new to forum and to working on BMW Bikes.
Just purchased a beautiful 2003 K1200RS with 37k miles.

Anyways, when I bought the bike it was fine...but now when I put into first gear and let out clutch it BARELY rolls. When I am riding and down shift from 3-2-1 and when I let the clutch out, no engine braking... until I give it some gas, then the bike changes gears and there is engine braking.... hoping the gurus can help me bc I dont really have 2k to spend on a new clutch and I don’t want to damage the bike. I hope I provided enough detail for you guys to diagnose the problem. Thanks.
