New to Me 2003 GT

I've been looking around for a GT looked at a few in person and tons online. Right now there is one on eBay at no reserve that ends tomorrow. I'm in Chicago and it's in Orlando so I figure it would cost $500 to get it to me. I've been looking at one online about 2.5 hours from me, so I contacted them yesterday and the salesman sent me some pictures. The bike looked very clean.

Today I went and looked at it and OMG was it clean! Almost looks new. 24k miles and the paint work is almost perfect. Has a nice bag on the back and Odyssey battery, windscreen extension and bar extenders.

It was so clean I couldn't pass it up. I guess I will see what the eBay bike goes for tomorrow. I paid $3,725.

These fuel connectors (in your photo) are made by JIFFY-TITE and are a very good / solid upgrade compare to the problematic factory black plastic type. Only JIFFY-TITE will use this kind of Gold color on the Female end of the set.

These JIFFY-TITE are not the most common after-market solution that we see on BMW as they were a bit more expensive than the metal CPC that you normally see (as a replacement).

Looks like a super-clean bike. Is that a functional brake light under the trunk? Or just a reflector.

You have bought a great bike for you. Don't even bother to look at the other bikes price. Just ride on and enjoy. The price one pays for a bike is paying for the future experiences. What are you going to weigh that against?
(I'm headed out to look at a K13S sapphire black bike tomorrow and will try to keep that advice in mind)

tire guy, I'll mount your tires.

That's good. The stock tail light on the K1200's is pathetic.

That's a very fair price for a clean looking bike.
I picked up my 3rd K12RS/GT brick in August for just a bit less from a private seller.
Considering that your bike already had Speigler SS brake lines installed and has 9k miles less than the bike I found, you got a good deal. Enjoy!

I have to know! Where are you all finding these clean K1200's? Dealers? Craigslist? Cycle Trader? Whenever I look, the ones for sale all have 50,000 miles and some much more. Then even one I've looked at has been dropped on both sides, scratched bodywork, bags, etc.
