Angry K 1200GT 2004 ABS/electrical problem

Hi, as you all know ABS pumps pack up. Well mine did last year so removed it as a replacement is circa £1000. However, as a result the speedo does not now record a speed nor is the mileage increasing. A lesser issue is the gear selection display and clock dont work either. Apparently this happens on a small number of bikes of which mine is one. Has anyone else experienced this and how was it put right. Any help appreciated.

Speedometer signal is from the rear ABS sensor via the iABS electronics.Did you remove the complete unit including the IABS ECU? If so there is your speedo problem.

Gear indicator/clock? I doubt the ABS removal is causing that issue.

On mine, I left the entire unit in place, but I disconnected the servo motors from the controller board. Then the bulbs for the ABS Failure and General Warning lights were pulled.
