Has anyone tried an Atlas throttle lock cruise control on a K1200RS? I have a 2001 with heated grips but no factory cruise control. Thottlemeister seems to be the throttle lock of choice but they are out of business and I can't seem to find any old/new stock. Atlas says it should work, just hoping someone has some experience with it. There's a top kit and bottom kit, the top kit is recommended.
I don’t have one on my KRS but I tried one on my previous ride and had trouble getting it to work unless the device itself was shaky and loose. Their tech support was supportive and offered some tips, but I eventually returned it with no hassle. Your experience may vary but there’s definitely no harm in trying it. Cheers!
I bought one and tried to mount it on my R1100S. Turned out that the space between the throttle grip rubber and the switch/brake housing was too narrow for the device to work (put friction on the throttle even when off even without the friction pad). Looked at trying it on my old K100RS and it wouldn't go there either. Returned it for a refund- no problems. Good looking and well engineered, just wouldn't work for me.
