Stealth Backrest

I know you've seen 'em... but I just got mine and installed it.

Nice product, easy install, wife and daughter love it, and the folks at Pirates Lair were wonderful.

Had the Stealth on my ST-1300 and really liked it too... BUT,,, I wish the backrest pad was smaller because it would be a great place to stow your Full Face hemet while at a gas station or eating... The Sargent backrest is just to big ya see...

The small Corbin Oval backrest was,,, PERFECT for that,,, I just like the Sargent seats better is all...

Very nice, Dave. I like the look... clean and not too obtrusive.

Very nice, I'm thinking of getting one as well. Is that a Sargent seat in front of it as well? The Sargent site says you can get a small discount if you buy a seat and backrest together from them (instead of Pirates).

thx.

I've had a stealth backrest on my '03 GT since the day I picked it up from the dealer. Both my wife and my daughter are much more comfortable and they also feel less like they are going to fall off the back which increases there enjoyment level (and mine) immensely. I particularly like the stealth since it is so easy to remove and get that sport look that I like so much and there is no hardware to be seen. Great quality product!

I really like mine too, but the price is ridiculous.

Welcome to the land of small run custom parts....lol. At least it really is a good product, and the folks at Pirates Lair were great.

I bought the Sergeant seat used... off this site actually. So...discount...yeah I guess it's doable if you were gonna buy both from Sergeant.

I picked up a used Corbin backrest for my bike for $149 (Thanks to David Dexter). Not quite as slick a product as the Stealth backrest but for the money and as often as I'll actually have it on the bike it was the best bang for the buck$.

My wife just saw me looking at the picture of the backrest just now and said, "you're ordering that, right?"

I guess that will be my first add on!

Managed to pick up a stealth backrest from a guy in Ohio with reasonable shipping cost to Australia. Pirates wanted to charge a fortune for Fed Ex postage.

Great product though. Absolutely recommended if you travel 2-up at all.

Good set of installation instructions at Pirates Lair.
