Question of the day

The question was asked of me as to why the fuel gauge did not have the silver ring around it. The other three gauges have one on both the 04 RS and the 04 GT. How do I answer this?
Thanks,
Trigger

That's right, but I remember once seeing somebody on Ebay selling rings you could stick on - so you could be different and do them all. Sorry I've got no link. My '97's are looking a bit dull now, so I thought I'd try masking them off and spraying them silver with an air brush.

Put some laquer thinner on a rag and wipe off the other chrome looking stuff on all the other gauges. Makes it look better than putting those cheezy stick on chrome rings.

Four rings is the symbol for Audi. BMW can't have that...besides, "BMW" is three letters.

Also, speed (road and engine) and oil are more important, so the chrome rings attract your attention to these items. Fuel is only important when you run out.
