hoses backward?

i'm getting ready for a ride up to blueridge.......i changed gas filter, and want to make sure i didnt reverse the vent hoses at base of fuel cell. opening the gas cap, their is a pin hole in the collar. if i pour gas into this, should it drain out the hose under the rear break pedal, or does that vent to the cannister? i sure dont want to take the fairing off again unless i have to. help!

if I had to venture a guess, I'd say that any gas that goes down that hole will run out of one of the rubber hoses at the bottom. The little hole visible in the filler neck area is on the other side of the cap rubber seal, meaning, it is not within the fuel system closed loop, and as such, is unlikely to be part of the evaporative emission control system.

Beyond the rubber seal is for rain water to drain so when you open the cap water wont get into the tank....

Bill
The position is true, IF someone has not reversed the internal hoses when changing the fuel filter.
Do like Lee said, color coat them.
