Any GT owners interested in carbon wheel group buy?

Sorry for the cross post...

BST is finally shipping the carbon fiber wheels for the K/R/S/GT.

Anyone interested in a group buy from motowheels?

Cost is about $3600 for the wheels.

I'll be letting them know maybe early next week.

Those are sweet! I hope they come with newer tires, though.

Rim and spokes are CF. The hub is aluminum.

Weight is about 5.5 pounds each versus 11+ pounds for stock.

Okay, I'll go out on a limb and say I'm not impressed.

To me, they are sort of ugly - and I'm ignoring the price.

I don't know how durable they'd be since I change my own tires and I can get quite brutal using my irons. A chipped carbon fiber wheel would not make my day, nor would I expect a nice CA pot-hole smack as done on the soft ally BMW rims to be as repairable running on the fibers.

Um...yeah....guess they're purdy and all but for $3600 do I get a long legged Swedish Blonde to clean them? Yowza!
