throttle stuck

We dropped our bikes at the dealership for service and while talking with the tech about our trip and desired jobs to be done to the bikes he found that the throttle grip did not return itself to zero. That made me recall some moments of bad upshiting - like I did not fully close the gas. Then I paid more attention and closed it manually.
So what could be the reason?

Take care!

Bad upshiting is, well, bad
What a great typo!

I'll bet you either have a busted, or slipped, return spring.

What was that middle thang?

Vladimir,

You might be having the same problem I had earlier this spring. The throttle mechanism at the grip needs to be cleaned and lubricated. Mine was actually rusty inside. Unfortunately, my dealer did it, so I can't tell you the procedure.

Sure did mess up my upshiting until it was fixed.

Yes, just cleaned and lubed. No replacements.

Take care!
