Going to the Alps

Bye guys, leaving in an hour, at 4:30AM to the Alps - Stelvio Pass.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...o%20pass&hl=en
First stop Budapest or Vienna, depending of road/traffic conditions. I hope to be able to reach Italy tommorow. If/when the mobile internet will work I will keep you posted. On July 3 will be in Garmisch - Germany for the annual BMW motorbikes meeting. Only thing that worries me is the heat, 37C during the day, 31C in the evening. Hope that going West will drop a bit. See you soon!

Ride safe and have fun! I was out west (United States) last week for the heat wave - 42 in the shade! Stay cool

Don't worry Doru, it will cool off as you head up into the Alps. Have a good ride, there are some great roads out that way. And I hope your seat isn't too uncomfortable.

Probably gonna be a great trip. You probably won't be able to read this before you get back, but while you're there, as far as routes go, you might want to run the Fluelapass, the Lukmanierpass, and most of everything, the Sustenpass.

Have fun anyway.

arrived well in merano italy after other 700+km. temperature ok, about 24c except brenner bass where it raised to 34C until here. gone with about 180km/h most of the time, i was afraid of traffic jam in brenner but was ok. tommorow will start climbing to stelvio pass.
