Dunlop Roadsmart Sport Touring

Looking at a new set of tire for the GT and wondering anyone has any good or bad experience with the Dunlop Roadsmart Sport Touring. Looks like I can get a set for $264.00 shipped to my house.
I have ridden Z6's and Michelin Pilot Roads on my GT and liked both and got around 8-9k on each set.

Thanks

I haven't heard anything bad about them and if I didn't have a fresh set of PR2's in my moto closet waiting to be slapped on, I'd buy a set.

Didn't have good results from the set I just tried. The rear was replaced for free as it couldn't be balanced (the assumption was that a belt separated), and the front was completely toast after 4100 miles...not good!

I'm going to give the PR2's a try shortly.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.

I put a set of Roadsmarts on my GT last month. After 1,300 miles, the Roadsmarts feel great. Enough dry traction to scrape both pegs without concern, and plenty stable at triple digits and above. Haven't tested wet traction yet though.

But the mileage test will have to wait. I picked up a nail in the rear tire and had to replace it on the road with a BT-021. I don't really like the BT-021's, but when it's the only thing available you don't complain.

The front Roadsmart still looks and feels great at 2,400 miles. But if I can't get 10K out of a front then I'll just go back to the Storms.

Funny thing is, the kid who put the BT021 on for me asked me how long the Roadsmarts lasted on the GT. I told him I didn't yet know of anyone who'd worn out a set. I was trying, but oh well.

Yep, wore out the front one. There has been a lot of chipseal work around Colorado this summer, which might have accelerated the wear...but hell, not that much.

Dunlop road smarts

I have a set of ROAD SMARTS that have 3k and 5k front and rear. Rear is approaching the wear bars. I think it will last another 1.5k miles in the summer season. Both front and rear wear is very even and have handled well in all conditions. Ie. wet, dry, slab, twisty, speed, under load as well as commute. Ran AVON STORMS as last 2 sets and was happy with 1st set, but 2nd front tire only made 6k and cupped severly. Will order a set of P-2'S next. I never get more than 7k from my rear and 8k, front.

I have a pair of roadsmarts coming after putting over 10,500 on the PR2s. You guys are not putting a warm fuzzy feeling on my choice. The PR2s passed with flying colors, what the heck was I thinking when I ordered the RoadSmarts.

I may need constant supervision in my later years it seems!

I have about 3K on my rear RoadSmart and I can see no signs of wear yet. The front is still the Conti RoadAttack and is approaching 9K. It's starting to look a little tired.

Just finished a 3600 mile tour around the North- and Southwest with the PR2's and they are the best touring tires I've ever used! They don't track rain grooves, aren't upset by tar snakes and are fairly sticky. At 3600 they look to be about half gone. Super tires.
