Red face Finding a K1200 GT

I'm on the look for a K1200 GT. Seems there are hardly any in this area (Colorado Springs). Even the local dealer doesn't show any in stock.

Anybody had experience with cycletrader.com?

Other suggestions on how to shop?

I'd prefer a slightly used Next Gen.

Any tips would be appreciated.

I have a slightly used '07. Fully loaded, only 53K on it so far.

The biggest change is that the '06 GTs have the power-assisted brakes, while the '07 and '08 GTs have the newer non-power brakes. Either setup works very well on the road. Also, the '07 and '08 bikes have the newer BMS-KP engine controller which allows for the ASC option (traction control), and some of those also came with TPM (tire pressure sensors). There were incremental improvements as well (air box, ignition ring, software, tranny improvements, rear drive flushes) but most of these can be taken care of under warranty by any competent dealer.

You might try the K-bikes Classifieds:Bikes forum, as there are a few nice choices there. And don't worry if you find one that's not right in your backyard. You can always fly out and ride it home.

All lower 48 states plus Alaska on the K13GT in two weeks . . .

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Ken was born with a throttle in his right hand. That and he actually uses his bike.

You just gotta set your priorities right.

I haven't owned a car in almost 20 years, and my best customer is a 940-mile commute away. The GT sure beats messing with TSA.

Ask me again at the end of the year. It's gonna be a busy fall . . .

My '07 is listed on Craigslist under Boulder, Colorado.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.

Great ... could you send some photos?

Any more you can tell me about the bike?

Can xenon headlights be added?

If you click on 'DavidS' and send me an email we can communicate directly and not clog up the board. I'll be happy to answer all your questions.
