Pics from my Colorado-Banff ride....

So we got home from a 15 day ride east through Yosemite NP, Nevada, Utah..Bryce Canyon NP, Capitol Reef NP, Natural Bridges NP, Mesa Verde NP, Colorado....Durango, Silverton, Ouray, Aspen, Wyoming...Garnd Tetons NP, Yellostone NP, Montana, Canada....Lake Louise, Banff NP, IceFields, Idaho, Washington, Oregon and finally the northern Sierras and home.

Rode with my brother on his RT and met a friend riding from Arkansas on his Kawasaki.
5,266 miles

The GT ran well even in the rain and a hail storm in Colorado.
It did just up and die 5 times when I came into a town and quickly went to idel.
Also had one instance of the high uncontrolled revving even though I had the airbox warrranty fix before I left.

I highly recommend a ride out west for those who haven't experienced this great counrty.

Enjoy

Hmmm...wonder how many times we crossed paths. I got back on Friday after riding all over CO (Cortes, Grand Junction, Aspen, Breckenridge, Ouarey, Durango, Mt. Evans, Telluride, Gunnison, etc). Stayed with a friend in Aspen, so Independence Pass was familiar.
Hope you got to do Black Canyon Road (US 50?) near Gunnison.
Edit: saw plenty of rain, some hail, and way too much lightning.

Yeah I did Black Canyon Road Hwy 92....with rain and hail

Didn't do much fast riding there.

Yeah we probably saw each other. I saw about 8 GTs on my trip.
