Tank Bag: Engage vs Marsee

Has anyone been able to compare the Bags-Connection Engage Quick Lock bag against the Marsee Quick Release bag? It's tough to evaluate them on the internet vs being able to see and touch the real deal in person.

I've never seen a Marsee in the flesh, but I did have the Engage-style mounting. I liked it a lot until, for a variety of reasons, I went to a Bagster. Some have observed tht the Marsee holds the bag a little high above the tank. Good luck.

tank bag

I have a 19L Marsee Pocket Rocket with the quick release system and I like it quite a bit. Marsee does not make it anymore so I would encourage you to look at the 15L or 20L bag with a flat bottom. I tried to use the Marsee 20L tear drop bag and it would not work on my 05 R1200RT. It actually tipped forward and I could not see the map pocket. Marsee's build quality is very good IMHO. They are offered in a variety of m/c shops so I would urge you to look around.

Used both. Had the Marsee on my RT and now own the Engage on the GT. Much prefer the Engage in build quality, features, and follows the nice lines of the bike like a glove.
If your dealer doesn't carry it, try HERE

Ive installed the Bags-Connection GS bag on my GT and its a nicely put together bag. The quality of zips and materials is good and it holds plenty, particularly when expanded so I imagine that the "engage" will be the same.

The quick connection system is very good but I have found it fiddly to put the bag onto it. I have to open the top of the bag and put pressure on the bottom to get it to "engage".

I've got a Marsee 11L Pocket Rocket with their tank bag (Corona mount). The bag is pretty heavy duty, solid, monster zippers, expandable, I like it. I do like the shape of the Engage bags, nicer lines. The Marsee is like a big brick up there.

Anyone else hit their ASC button with the handle bars full left lock? I'm always turning it off. Easy enough to turn back on, not complaining or a big deal at all, just wondering if it's just me.

They also make the Engage in a pretty neat 12v bag that uses the quick connect. Check it out here

I know what you mean. On my RT everybody knew when I was making a left-handed u-turn

I"ve been very happy with my marsee corona quick release. I had it on my old GT and it fits my new one just fine.
