Traded the GT for an RT today selling farkles soon.

Well guys....adios and good luck. I traded the GT in for an RT today. The GT is a sweet machine, but just doesn't work for me. I really gave it a college try, and added every comfort accesory available, but it still wasn't working for me. Much happier on the RT, but that's just me.

I will have the following for sale soon.

Corbin Smuggler (blue) and seat

Aeroflow tall windshield and smok colored Aeroguards

RKA tank bag

Suburban Machinery bar risers.

I went the other way and I'm much happier with the GT. It's all subjective I guess.

Might be interested in the tankbag. More info and pics if possible please.

Thanks,

Erik

I would be interested in your bar risers if you would post OS. USPS is fine with me.

Geez and I might be interested in the Aeroguards. I am getting a Parabellum sheild, I assume the 'Guards would work with a different shield. If not interested in seperating, maybe I could take both, I could try them both and sell "the loser".

You'll love the GT if it's made a strong impression on you already. It just gets better with time.

I knew the day I drove mine home that I made a mistake trading my 06 RT for it, but I hung in there and tried to sort it out. If BMW ever makes a K1200RT and does a better job dialing in the throttle response I'll be back to a K12. Meantime, I am thrilled to be enjoying pain / annoyance free motorcycling!

Adios RT

Welcome to the RT crowd. I have had my 05 RT for almost 3 years and it is a great bike as you know. And this is coming from an 11 year K1100RS rider. I still love the K engine but wanted more protection from the elements, upright seating, and a no-dive front end.
It is very easy to work on the RT yourself which will give you more money to spend on farkles. Come on over and become a member of the www.bmwst.com site. We would love to have you. Enjoy your new RT!!

Both great bikes for sure! It really does boil down to what works for you. On short test rides, it was hard to pick between the two; as each had it's pro's and con's. Once owning the RT, I realized I made the wrong choice. A long story later, and possibly fate stepping in, owning the GT and putting some miles on it proved my later theory that it was the bike for me.

Any info on the tankbag?
