Smile The Competition

The new GT's competition are the FJR, ST1300, and the new Guzzi.

It seems the GT will be the best of the lot but only a good road test will tell.

The styling of the GT seems plain but it may be a matter of form follows function. Better wind management with less turbulence could be an upside. Also, the large flat side panels beg to be customized with painted graphics.

custom paint

I agree. I've already thought about various paint schemes that would look great on the GT I'm going to buy.

The slab side looks pretty good in all black from a photo I saw, considerably less-so in pearl/white.

You got that right. That slab side is just SCREAMING for a sticker kit. Something for the after-market BMW guys to go after (hey Pirate -- hint hint).

I guess it is all in the "eyes of the beholder" because I think the white bike looks better than the other colors. This is, of course, based on the pictures. These opinions seem to change when you see things in person.
