KGT Purchase??

I was convinced the other day in Grand Junction, Co the other day I wanted a KGT, the dealer there was having a Grand Opening for the Bmw dealer. Kind strange because it's a Harley, Bam dealership and most of the bikes there enjoying the festivities were Harley riders. The dealer was kind enough to let me demo the K1200gt he had on the floor.
Damn! what a smooth and powerful bike! I was very impressed!
I've owned K12lt's for many years and have always liked the Bmw's but the LT is just too big and heavy for me.
I guess I would like to know what I have to add to the KGT to make it a complete bike so to speak. I asked this question several months ago but have long since lost the answers, so if this seems like repetition it is.

I added a fuse box, GPS with sat radio, autocomm, custom seats, aux lighting and a Cee Bailey windshield. It's the tits!

Gif; I understand the fuse box, but what Aux lights? and seat and windshield?
I know that the seat deal is a personal thing and the windshield but what about the aux lights?
I have used Motolights on my Lt for many years actually through all three of them, any reason I should not use them again?

10-4 on the Gas, Time, and Gold Card; it's been that way on every bike I have ever owned.

Mine's an early '07, so I added an aftermarket HID and Motolights for conspicuity. I also added the Phoenix switches.

I use the Kontour seat, simply because I find it comfy and it flows air in our hot ass Tejas humid summers.

The windshield is a Cee Bailey.

Check out the Hall of Wisdom. Top tool bar, click technical and the HoW.

I am using my motolights from my old KRS. All that is needed is a new set of caliper bolts which Motolights sells as a conversion kit. I also have a Zumo 550, Rich Mayer seats, and flashing taillights.

GPS wired right into the bike (accessory plug forward of battery). Marsee tank bag with power direct to battery (fused).

I'm saving up now for the Aeroflow windshield and another seat, Day-Long or Corbin, not sure yet. Try it out, but you might find the stock seat too soft, leads to "hot spots" after an hour or so of riding.

DON'T get the Kissan Tailblazers, get P3 lights instead, they actually work.

Cee Bailey has some nice bag liners for the saddle bags and they're the cheapest I found.

The bike is good to go right off the showroom floor, you'll find you want to add farkles pretty quick. Lots of good info on here and tons of opinions to help you make your choice. Enjoy!

You'll want to check a few options and see if it has them... and whether you want them. I don't know what is standard and what is not anymore.

High or low windshield
High or low seat
Xenon headlight
Onboard computer
ASC
ESA
Tire pressure readout

I added the 28L top trunk and love it. Also, I had a spare accessory outlet wired into one of the knockouts and going directly to the battery with a fuse.

You might ask about a special deal on a GPS, and/or get the first service free. Some dealers will deal, some won't.

Oh yeah, look into the Stebel Nautilus electric airhorn.
