BMW Motorcycles Product Bulletin for New K1200GT

Hi All,

I received a copy of this bulletin this weekend. I was given a hardcopy of it and was told it was public, so I assume it's OK to post here. Nothing really new information-wise, but the more the merrier!

So, what's with the "wrinkled paper" look with the background?

Nice branding - "Excellence in Motion"

Now wouldn't that be a nice tag line for a web site about K-bikes?

Yeah, it would. "Excellence" is always a good place to start.

Well, it was a photocopy of the actual bulletin. Then, I gave it to my wife to take into work to scan (since I don't have a scanner handy). Hence the wrinkled paper look.....

Probably didn't help that I crumpled it into my pocket before I rode home from the dealership

"Direct Successor to the RS and GT"

See bulletin.

Doesn't sound good for those wanting a new version of the RS.

I would classify the K1200S as a K version of the R1100S.

A new K1200RS would be along the lines of a K version of the R1200ST don't you think?

I have ridden the K1200S. A very nice and exceptional bike!

The S is sportier than the RS with far less luggage capability. The new GT is tourier (word for the day) that the RS.

The RS has no replacement.
