led Brake Lights

Since I'm still in the farkleing stage I'm now looking at additional Brake light enhancements. I've narrowed it down to two.

Either the BMW LED setup http://www.sierrabmwonline.com/delux...ht-p-1125.html

Or the tried and true Hyperlights http://www.hyperlites.com/index.html I've used the Hyperlights in the past, I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the BMW setup?

Give me a couple days. I've got the new BMW brake lights from Sierra BMW at home, install them on Wednesday. I've got the Kisan TailBlazer too, works so-so with Canbus.

Will post next week when I do the Sierra install. cheers

Thanks Iffy.. I'm leaning towards the BMW lights only cause if they f anything up, BMW can't blame it on being an aftermarket product not designed for a BMW canbus set up.

I've got the hyperlites on my 08 KGT. Easy install, work well and reliable. No canbus issues.

Check out the P3 Lights. While they aren't BMW made, some of the dealerships are selling them, Bob's for one.

What was that middle thang?

Eric

I had the "Lite Buddys" and "Stop Alert Relay" on my '04KRS from here:http://www.run-n-lites.com/products.asp They really worked great!

You might want to check if they are Can-Busable.

How is the installation of these lights? Is the connection point on the bike easy to access?

When in doubt, apply more throttle.

If you are talking about the Lite Buddys, it's about a 1 hr. job, start to finish on a '04KRS.
You pretty much have to open all the access points to the turn signals and taillight.

Hello
After reading the numerous posts on what was available for upgrading the rear lights, I got the Hyperlite kit with the bracket. It took me more time to route the wires than to make the actual connection . Very easy install and they work great. I was so happy with the outcome that I ordered a kit for the wife's f650cs. I choose not to cut the green wire, so the hyperlites keep flashing when the brakes are applied. We will be very cute with our rear ends flashing on stop lights

Bests Regards

I've been thinking about the Hyperlite also. As I haven't purchased them yet what does the green wire do. Thanks.
