Cycle World Show Minneapolis

Just got back from the show. All makes were there except BMW. Why? I was very disapointed. Does BMW think Minnesotans aren't interested in their bikes? I just can't figure out why they were not there to display their new models.

It's a tough economy. Everybody is cutting back wherever they can.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Agree about the economy. But you would think that being at a motorcycle show would prompt bike sales. I dunno.

It's not just Minnesota, BMW has missed a few other shows this year.

not smart. Exposure and brand recognition some of the things that promote sales

Agreed, BMW could make a better showing at the shows, I was disappointed with the Manhattan showing this year. That being said no manufacturer that I'm aware of has a better demo ride policy than BMW, and imho that sells bikes. I tried unsuccessfully for two months to get a demo ride on an FJR. BMW offered me a weekend test ride to decide on the GT.
