Brake seizure.

Brake seizure.
I had to brake quite hard, for me, on Friday. The bike didnít feel right, after a few seconds I throttled off to find the bike was still brakingÖ jabbed both brakes, it appeared to clear. I found a place to stop a mile or so further on. The front right side brake rotor was blue from the heat! Other rotors were as normal. Wheel was free. I carried on, testing the brakes, trying replicate the same conditions as earlier. No issues. Thankfully the rotor is still true. I took the calliper off yesterday. Pistons are free, pads are fine, inner slightly more worn than the outer. This is an 06 GT with the servo. Any thoughts???

Sounds like the servo is the issue. If the caliper was not frozen, the servo must have been sending pressure to the caliper even with you having released the brake. I have an 08GT, and don't have the servo, but my RT had the servo powered brakes, and they were very noisy, I could almost always hear the servos, is it the same on your bike?

I would check your slide pins...with one pad worn more than the other tells you that the sliders were jamming your inside pad from releasing.....and your inside pad was still grabbing

Get the bike checked out and see if any codes were thrown. I wouldn't put too much into the inside pad being slightly more worn. Check the other caliper and see if this is the case also. My inside pads (K1200s) wear at a slightly greater rate than the outside pad on both calipers.
