Clymer manual on YouTube

Sort of a cool video of their manual:
Clymer manual for 1998 to 2008 K series.

However, then I see on the Clymer website that it doesn't cover the transverse 4 cylinder? I thought the transverse was phased out before 2008 - maybe 2004 or so? Guess the 2006+ GT folks are left out on a limb.

Clymer BMW Manual link

Some other site mentioned BMW may be discontinuing their Service CD/DVD sales to the commoners so I had to see if hard-bounds were available. Link to "No more service CDs?"

The current/modern K bikes (S/R/GT) ARE transverse. The LT is still inline, or more technically described as longitudinal.

Face reality

The new engines - Japanese style 4. Tell that to any non-BMW person & he will understand immediately. Just worked for me in Daytona. (There were a FEW non-BMW folks there - ha.)

While I'm sure that's an easy shortcut that many folks will understand, it isn't entirely accurate. The 55 forward lean is a big giveaway, as are a few of the other more subtle tweaks that BMW made.

I mean, if we simply refer to them as "Japanese" style, what's next? "Japanese" style switchgear? Where will it end?

So, if I own an out of warranty '06 GT and prefer to do my own service work.......and I can't buy a service manual for the newer GT's because BMW discontinued sale of them to the public.....how do I repair/service this bike??

Anyone who has a service manual willing to make a (CD)copy for me Send me a PM.
