Lights Problem

Hi Folks,
I have an K1200 GT 07 it has been in a garage stood for two years, it has not

even been on the road yet ! my problem is its due an special test for road worthyness

which is fine every thing works but the Xenon low beam light and no front side lights !!

Reading the manual it states that the low beam light should come on when engine is fired

up, after starting the engine I can get the high beam ie two lights to come on and the high

beam flash rocker switch will work fine but no low beam Xenon light and no front side

lights.

The rear light works fine and the rear stop light works fine.

Looking in the manual it states threre are no fuse's on the bike to check so has anyone

come across this problem before ?

Many thanks Mack......

My xenon bulb had blown by 800 miles.. There is a bulb out icon on the LCD panel. It knows because CanBus can sense the load of the bulb.

Most likely to be wiring water damage incurred during delivery.....

I don't have Xenon on my '06 but installed a HID. If the battery is weak my HID will not fire up. After driving the bike for an hour or so the battery gets charged and the HID will come on after a engine shut down and restart. Hope you figure it out.

I'd start with checking the plugs for corrosion.

Hi Slowflyn ,

Just a matter of interest when your battery was discharged did it affect your

front side lights, as in not coming on ? as in my case no side lights and no Xenon low beam

saying that with the bike having not been run I'm sure the battery at the moment is not fully

charged.

Many thanks Mack....

Mack,
I seem to remember the side lights were working when the HID was not.
