New Exhaust

What's the best choice for a new slip-on exhaust for an 07 K1200GT?

I assume you mean the silencer rather than the down-pipes?

What do you want from it? Appearance? Noise? More power? Less weight? Street cred?

New Exhaust

Appearance and less weight. The stock canister looks huge.

You've posted your question in the wrong area.. Maybe a Mod will move it. In any case I posed a similar question recently http://www.k-bikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17006

You're gonna end up going back to the stock can anyway.

Red face Remus Powercone for 2008 GT

I have a 2008 K1200GT. This is my 2nd BMW ride. I had a 2002 R1150RT on which I installed a Stayintune can. The advertisement said it had a "tune you could dance to" and it did, a nice low rumble. So when I got the GT, I had to have an aftermarket can, cause the stock muffler is huge and heavy. So I paid around $600.00 for the Remus Powercone. It is very light, looked great and installation was a snap. Anyone could install this unit in about 20 minutes. Start the bike up, off we go on the GT and OH MY GOD, now we have a sound that resembles a cross between a formula I car and a chain saw. I rode it like that for about 350 miles, I tried four or five different types of ear plugs, but the sound was maddening and I think that bike lost power. I was on a trip so couldn't change it untill I got home. You got it, off that sucker came and on went the stock can. I couldn't be happier!! Anyone want to buy a Powercome, I will make you a hell of a deal!! <<<Softtail>>>>
