World Superbike

Has anyone else seen this? Looks like a sweet deal! I just signed up.

BMW Motorrad USA wants to host you at Miller Motorsports Park in May 2009 for the US debut of the new S 1000 RR in FIM World Superbike competition. World Superbike racing is on four continents and thirteen countries in 2009, and on May 31, 2009, the racing starts at Miller Motorsport Park in Tooele, UT. Be a part of the live action weekend with a special BMW Motorrad ticket package that includes:

Grandstand seating with other BMW fans each day (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
Paddock access each day (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
Entry to the Salt Lake City Bike Bash on Thursday night, featuring a performance by the incredible BMW Streetbike Freestyle performer and three-time Indoor Stunt Riding World Champion Christian Pfeiffer.
Lunches, snacks and beverages Friday Sunday (alcohol not included)

Exclusive access to the BMW hospitality area for closed-circuit race viewing
Preferred views of the BMW Streetbike Freestyle (stunt) shows with World Champion Christian Pfeiffer (Saturday and Sunday, including autograph sessions)
Exclusive access to autograph sessions with the new BMW S 1000 RR racers Troy Corser and Ruben Xaus
BMW Motorsports gift bag

Don't miss out on your chance to be one of BMW's special guests in Utah this year. This package is normally valued at $260 without the opportunities for autographs from BMW racers or a World Champion Streetbike Freestyler. Special BMW Ticket Packages are $170 each. Supplies are limited, so don't wait! Use password "S1000RR" to order your ticket package.

So far four other people from Omaha are coming! It's going to be a fun time. Maybe we can organize a group ride.

Usually BMW host great events.

4 from VA

From central VA. 1 riding out, 3 flying, all using the BMW deal.

AMA/DMG & Miller failed to reach an agreement, so no AMA racing that weekend. From the articles, I take it that neither side was willing to give on the $$. So, we get no AMA.

Maybe AMA could co-opt a new acronym for its series - SNAFU.

I got that a week or so ago, and unfortunately, I'll be on my way to Alaska just when they are in Utah

It does seem like a good thing to do and should be fun!

I'll be going

I saw the official BMW deal in the April newletter from my dealer here in Seattle - Ride West BMW. In addition to BMW's deal, they added free tickets and a few demo bikes for the week for a few lucky entrants. I just got a call from them this afternoon, and they told me I was one of those. Sweet. My dealer is the best. They are organizing a group ride there and back, and I told them "yeah, I'm in". Should be fun to see BMW at the SuperBike track again.

And I'm off the Talladega this weekend for the NASCAR races. Life is good.

Can't make the trip but agree with your statement about Ride West BMW - they are the best! Well, their sister store South Sound BMW ain't bad either. Both stores bend over backwards for their clients. Great owners, great people.
