Wink New 2008 K1200GT

I picked up my new GT yesterday, trading my 2004 GT. On the way up I was wondering if I was doing the right thing, i really liked the 2004. On the way back through Chicago rush hour, I was extremely comfortable on the 2008, through the two construction areas, one in Indpls was 0-10 mph at 10:30pm. A lot of throttling experience gained, hard to keep the rpms down on the new GT.

I was pretty certain I was doing the right thing at the dealer, I was sold on the ride home.

Congrats! I've got 5K on mine. Last bike was an 1150RT and I haven't looked back once.

I did the same thing last Saturday; traded in my 2004 GT for a 2008 GT.

Taking a test ride is a BAD thing to do! My R12ST just wasn't as desirable after the K12GT ride. Traded it in a few days later. Love the GT. Good choice!

We still get a few folks that ride both, then decide to buy (or stick with) the RT. In almost every case, they say something like "Who really needs all that power? The RT is good enough . . ." Hmm.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...
