Manual for GT

I am about to pick up a new K1200 GT, 2008 model. I have just sold my 2004 GT and did all the maintenance myself via a Clymer Manual and info from the net.
I have not been able to find any manual for the "new engine" nor much on the net.

Has anybody got some suggestions on where and what is available in regard to manuals. I realise that while under warranty Mr BMW will service the bike but I still like to be an informed purchaser with regard to maintenance.

The only "manual" available is a Rep Rom, that you can purchase from the dealer. the Rep Rom is pricey, and there are some counterfeit Rep Rom's to be had on Ebay, but the ones available on Ebay, are old, outdated and IMHO, not worth it.

The problem is that the Rep Rom is not available from any of my local dealers, and probably not anywhere in the U.S. I asked again yesterday, and was told that it was out of stock. The parts person suspects that it is being updated for the new K1300 series.

Other people on these forums posted messages that BMW will no longer sell to end-users (customers), only to repair technicians. I find that hard to believe, but you can't argue with the lack of availability, which has been going on since the beginning of January at least, maybe earlier.
