Fortunate enough to have an 08 GSA as well.

Last 6 weeks its all been about the GSA, getting it ready and then spending 2 weeks in Baja. So yesterday I figure I'll take the GT for a little pre-Cambria inspection ride in the rain.

Well, I split to the front of a red light, and of course I usually goose it a bit when I take off to stake mys position in front of the cages. Well goosing it on the GSA is a bit different then the GT.

Barely was able to hold on, pulled some great acceleration like an amusement park ride, and must of looked plain silly try to get control back.....

OK, I wont ignore her so much for her ugly sister.

Having ridden many miles with you: I just thought that was how you liked to ride?

You scared me there for a sec, I was waiting for the "and Frazier goes down!" part of the story. Glad that didn't happen! Of course, then we would have had something to give grief about in Cambria.

The other end of the scale

I had been regularly riding a 2007 GT, along w/ a 2008 S. Flew out to Denver to pick up 2008 GS Adventure. Riding back in SW Kansas, bags & top box, BIG headwind & pulled out to pass 18 wheeler starting at 60mph.

Used 6th gear roll-on, just like on the GT. Full throttle, but still going same speed! Yes, it slowly accelerated, but that sure reminded me that the GT is an entirely different animal.

On the other hand, the GS does relax me more. Slow bikes do that.

As to headwind - the prevailing winds are supposed to be west to east in the US. Except for the 3 days riding east to Virginia - SE to NW the entire time.
