Upped from 2003 GT to 2007 GT today...

Has this happened to you?:

I took my 2003 GT in for minor service, and ended up taking home a 2007 GT. The first thing that really struck me was how low the center of gravity is on the 2007, the second thing is...WOW, the gearbox is loud!

All in all, what an upgrade. I really enjoyed my 2003, but the 2007 is a totally different ride, not that the 03' was bad, which it wasnt.

Pics coming tomorrow when the sun is in a more favorable position...

We have pics..

The PO put the graphics on....not sure if I will keep them or not.

7800 miles on it, and could be up to 8000 by the end of the day.

Congrats on the new wheels. I just went from an 96 RS to a 07 GT, I like the bells and whistles on the GT. The graphics look sharp on your bike, makes it look even faster.

Many miles of enjoyment.

As far as the graphics.....I like the upper ones. I would remove the two lower ones if it was me.

Most graphics I have seen for the GT have not been great but I do like those uppers!

Nice bike and congrats..

BMW makes beautiful bikes. Ugly Top Boxes. Give me a Givi any day. The $600 plus in savings could be spent for better things. Like six or so Asian Escorts from Craigslist.

Ha!

I had some bloke on a Harley ask me if my bike broke as it made a loud "Clunk" when I downshifted to a stop light. I'm surprised he could hear it over his Potato-Potato sounding bike.

I don't know why BMW AG cannot make a quieter gearbox. If they pulled the same nonsense in their cars no one would buy them.

I've been playing with some on-bike videos and the Ka-Klunk is most annoying. I even rigged a shotgun mike pointing rearward in a foam tube with a fuzzy windsock and it still is too damn Ka-Klunky.

Hey, that looks just like my GT, only much cleaner.

Then again, I just crossed 87K miles, so mine has seen a few bugs/dust storms/snow storms/thunderstorms/tornados along the way.
