Wunderlich Winglets

Just added these "winglets" to the K12GT. Haven't had a chance to try them yet - getting ready for a week long business trip. Will report as soon as I can. Easy to install. The hardest part was getting the freakin' Wunderlich sticker off one of the units!

I got them online at www.wunderlichamerica.com

They are $154.00 plus shipping. They are well made from 5mm acrylic. Easy install other than removing the sticker. I had to enter a part number because I couldn't find them listed. The part number is 8600327 for clear and 8600328 for smoke-grey.

I thought they were a little expensive and thought about making my own. After seeing them I'm glad I didn't mess with it. The edges are flame polished and everything fits.

Aeroflow makes them also. They are more money though about $210 (smoke), but I know they make great products.

I looked at those too, but I couldn't figure out how they mounted. The Wunderlich uses the stock holes - no drilling, cutting, Velcro, etc. Easy to go back to stock.

You ain't kiddin. I almost sent mine back with a letter that I would buy them again if they gave me a pair without the sticker.

I should have asked - how do you like them? Leaving in the am for a road trip and won't ride till I get back. Just curious if I spent wisely....

Thanks.

I have to be honest and say I can't tell much difference. Intuitively, looking at them on the bike, you would think they serve the purpose, but on the road, not so much. After a long ride they are as covered with bug juice as the windshield, so they must be doing the job, but it's not a difference I can feel. I haven't ridden with them in the rain yet.

I should have asked first! Oh well, I'll give them a whirl and see what I think. Maybe they will help in the rain. I'm going to optimistic. Thanks for the input.
