Pinch bolts K1200 GT

Hi Folks,

I'm looking to get info on the front calipers on an K1200 GT 07 model , I have my

hand book to hand which states the regular torque settings for most apps, the one missing

is the pinch bolts in the front calipers, there are four bolts in each caliper and what I need

is the torque settings for these bolts all have torx heads.

Many thanks Mack.....

I don't know if these are normally even removed for anything. Just the one that holds the pads in, and 2 on each side that hold the caliper to the fork. I don't see a spec for the 4 bolts. All these are torx headed so that doesn't help, but yes I do see the 4 on each caliper, I just assumed these hold the calipers together.

Pinch bolts K1200 GT

Hi Folks,

Let me put it another way, any links to torque settings in general ? I would say

at a guess that it would be about 20 to 25 Nm , but would still like the correct setting.

May thanks Mack.....

See this link for torque settings for the GS. Are the calipers common? May be similar anyway??

Hi Paul_C,

Thanks for the link will take a look, they must be very similar settings I would

say, tis the kind of info they tend to gloss over in hand book.

Thanks again Mack.....

I think you'd almost have to be rebuilding the caliper before you'd mess with those 4 screws.
