Talking The color of my new K1300GT

Hi,

Decided last Saturday that I'm renewing my leasecontract with BMW.
I returned my previous K1200GT May 19th after three years.

At the dealers there was a Blue one and a Beige.
Looking at the colors I decided to go for a Red one.
The dealer told me that he sold already a lot of 1300's, but none in Red....

Am I doing something wrong ...?

Thanks
Erwin

Have you seen one? In the sun, at different angles, you can see different colors. Not the usual, drab BMW paint job.

What was that middle thang?

haven't seen it yet

That's the scary part.
I've only seen some pictures.
Sometimes it looks good and sometimes it just looks nasty orange ...

I found that I have to wear blinders if there is one at the dealer when I stop in, otherwise,
I will be in big trouble as the 07 will be at the dealer and the 09 will be home with me. Explaining to my wife that the color is constantly changing with the light is not enough to convince her I should have a new red one. It is sure pretty and it really is the fast color, at least as far as the LEOs are concerned.

Just saw new 13GT in blue. Was very different from my '06 blue. Nice very dark metalic blue-almost black. Have seen several in the so called red.

It never looks nasty orange in real life. Very nice medium sporty red with gold highlights that looks different whenever the light changes. If you like the pictures at all, you'll love the bike in this color

If your dealer never sold a red one, obviously he never had one to show. My guess is once yours is on the floor for a day or two, he'll get orders for more . . .

Cool I'll keep my order ..

Ok, you've convinced me to keep te Red.
I still have a few days befiore the order is final and the choices can't be changed.

I'm still a little afraid that my mid-life crisis is showing a little too much.

I'm also sure that the guys/girls at BMW wouldn't send out a 'ugly' color.
So ... waiting for july 15th ...
