Would Like Pics of Russell Day long on a K1300GT

I just got a K1300GT and would like to see Pics of a Russell Day long on the bikes, I am trying to figure out whether to get the half moon or rectangle pattern. Also what color combo would look best with a dark blue bike.

They have some K1200GT photos on their website's Gallery tab or here near the bottom of the photo spread.

I had their rectangular pattern on the old RT. They talked me into some dark gray Velour top with vinyl sides due to heat where I live. It was comfy and never got too hot to sit on even in 110 heat. I got their backrests option (it folds down into the front seat and flips up when you get on. You can slide the entire assembly off as well.) along with their raincover that I kept and still use to wash the GT.

Maybe a dark blue Velour and the black or dark gray vinyl? I don't care for their squares or diamonds personally, but that moon-stitched shape looks pretty comfy too.

I'm surprised at the number of dealers who've ridden the old RT and ask who made the seat. All commented on the comfort of it. You can't go wrong, especially if you can do the ride-in thing.

I noted that they seem to be doing some sort of riser at the front of the passenger's seat for a short driver's backrest of sort. It's in their BMW photo gallery as well.

The pic on the Russell site is my 06 GT. Here is a better picture. I really don't know if there is any significant difference in seats between the 1200 and 1300GT. I had the passenger seat done at the same time. Both seats are holding up well after 3 years with minimum care.

It's a good thing these things are as comfortable as they are <butt> ugly, and I hear they are. I had a Rick Mayer that looked good and was a good bit more comfortable than stock, so I hope these are incredibly comfortable.

I'll grant that good looking is pretty subjective but, I have never seen a good looking seat that will allow me to ride 1K mile days. For me it is function over form when it comes to seats.

Get the half-moon. Much less seams where you're sitting, which is a good thing.

Exactly. Looks don't matter if your a$$ hurts after a couple of hours.

What's with the power outlet going to the top case? Givi case with lights? Charging system? Cooler for beer? Is there a new accessory outlet on the 13 that I haven't noticed? Or is that a custom job?

I installed that piece to keep my Binford 5000 cam shaft dewobblizer in phase.
