1300GT Pricing?

For those of you who have purchased the 1300 GT, what kind of pricing are you getting?

In Texas, it seems all the BMW dealers want to sell at MSRP and give low trade-in values.

If you got a very good deal, where?

Thanks in advance!

Pretty much MSRP on the bike minus the Motorrad rebate at the time ... Concentrate on discount for accessories that you want...

I got the big top case thrown in for free with mine (~$900 value) along with the financing deal that was available last month. I'm not sure what the current deal is.

You'll take a beating on a trade-in. I sold my 2002 R1150R for $3000 over the dealer offer in 2 weeks on craigslist. I also paid to have listed in one of the old-fashioned bargain trader magazines/web sites & got far more responses from craigslist. I would just go with craigslist next time.

On the K1300GT, I got the incentive financing plus $500 off MSRP.

Tell 'em the other dealer offered "the first service for free."

Trade-in will be much worse than any dickering you can do on the list price of the new one. Of course, if your bike has issues, it may be better just to unload it on the dealer and let the new buyer unwind on them rather than having them on your doorstep threatening a suit or worse. Sold a 7 year old used car that had issues once to someone and it didn't work out well at all and I should have let the dealer just take it for $500.

Fwiw, buddy's wife had a yard sale and sold some tennis shoes for a quarter. They called him on the phone that night complaining about the laces and wanted their money back. No kidding! They drove all the way across town for a quarter and let him have it verbally. He said "Never again" to his wife and later suspected they were just doing it to scout his place and come back and rob it later.

Someone did steal his truck out of the driveway later on too.

Thanks for all the answers.

I am just investigating my options!

Because of past experience with selling to others, I would rather let the dealer have the potential fun.

Too many people don't seem to understand what As-Is (not saying anything is wrong, but obviously USED IS NOT THE SAME AS NEW !

Any how, I will continue to investigate my options!

Thanks a lot!

Smile K1200GT buying

Call Preformance Plus the local dealer in Memphis 901-385-8296 on Tuesday, they're closed on Mondays, ask for Tony and tell him Robert Rehkopf sent you. They have a beautiful red GT on the floor right now.
Ride Safe,
Robert

Thanks
Robert

Thumbs up K1300Gt

I just picked up mine from Bentonville BMW in AR. They gave me a great deal, plus I got the 1200 off from the promotion last month. Plus I could buy any accessorie at cost, such as the trunk. And they also do the 600mi service in the deal, so no extra cost to me. I would highly recommend this dealership.

I have emailed them!

I appreciate all the responses / advice y'all have given!

I will be shopping for a new 1300 GT when I get back from Germany / Czech / Austria!!

If anyone is on Skype and would like to see photo's of new BEERS I will be trying, let me know (I do NOT endorse driving and drinking .... but walking and drinking is another thing )!

Best Regards,

Shane
