1200 vs. 1300 sidestand

I'm going to order a sidestand enlarger once I get my new 1300 home. Anyone know if the 1300 uses the same sidestand as the 1200?

Thanks.

Yes. I transferred my kickstand enlarger plate to the 1300. Most physical parts for the body etc are the same.

Thanks Larry! I'm just starting to look for aftermarket farkles and it's hard to tell what will work and what won't. I'm sure I'll have more questions.

Here are other brands of sidestand enlargers:

http://www.iliumworks.com/Store_Deta...ShowLarge=True

I believe that there are still more types. Perhaps others will chime in.

One warning - if you lean the bike hard while riding, those kickstand foot enlargers touch the pavement first.

I don't have any of them, perhaps someday I will add one. Instead, I keep one of those giveaway flat plastic kickstand pads in my glovebox. I can open up the glovebox and toss it down before resting the bike on it. The truth is that I have never used it. I prefer to ride around some more and look for a better spot to park. So far, I have always found one.

I finally gave up on BMW's crappy side and center stands and just fixed them myself. Details and pics are in this post.

And no, my side stand doesn't scrape, even at "Alpine" lean angles.

FWIW I have the Iliumworks piece and really like it. Well machined and a very solid mounting.

I had a Iliumworks foot on my RT and loved it, so that's what I got for the GT. I'm very happy with it.
